The Challenge Initiative has created a video to explain its approach to urban reproductive health financing, scale-up and sustainability. Because Africa and Asia are rapidly urbanizing, the Initiative developed a “business unusual” model that puts local governments in the driver’s seat.
It is a demand-driven approach designed to leverage support from donors, the Initiative’s Challenge Fund and local resources. In addition, the Initiative offers technical expertise and access to proven solutions drawn from successful interventions under the Urban Reproductive Health Initiative. Those solutions are housed in TCI University, which will officially launch in fall 2017. The video is also available in French.
