Partnering with Bayer for Sustainability

The Challenge Initiative (TCI) is designed to improve access to quality family planning services and information. Enabling women and girls to avoid unwanted pregnancy with modern contraception can lead to progress on several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 3 (good health and well-being) and SDG 5 (gender equality). And because of TCI’s focus on urban poor settlements, its work also impacts SDG 1 (no poverty) and SDG 11 (sustainable cities and communities). Family planning is critical to help achieve the SDGs by 2030.
As a global leader in women’s health, Bayer AG supports and partners with TCI as an important component of its strategy to empower 100 million women in low and middle-income countries with access to modern family planning by 2030. Here, TCI has partnered with Bayer to tell stories of women’s empowerment through access to family planning information and services.
