Sean Yonamine

Data Analyst

Sean Yonamine is a Master of Public Health graduate from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where he concentrated in Biostatistics and Epidemiology. Prior to this, he received his B.A. and B.S. at the University of California, Berkeley, where he majored in Molecular & Cell Biology, Psychology, and Toxicology.

Sean has extensive experience and involvement in projects utilizing data cleaning, data analysis, data management, and data visualization. He has great familiarity in a multitude of programming languages such as Python, R, STATA, SAS, and SQL. Prior to graduate school, he served as a clinical research coordinator and clinical research analyst at the Department of Ophthalmology in the University of California, San Francisco. In these positions, he oversaw the data aspect of many research projects ranging from big-data electronic health record studies to natural language processing of clinical notes.

As TCI’s Data Analyst, Sean supports the team through database development and maintenance, creating semi-automated systems for quarterly and annual reports for donors, and manuscript support and preparation for TCI.
