Our Team

Hitesh Sahni works with PSI India and has vast experience of 25 years working in public health and the healthcare sector. Since March 2022, he has been leading the The Challenge Initiative’s India hub as Chief of Party (COP), providing strategic direction to the team and ensuring impeccable execution. Prior to this role, he was working as the Deputy Chief of Party, demonstrating strong expertise in leading operations, program management, quality improvement, and marketing and communications.

Sahni is an MBA graduate and certified six sigma black belt with rich experience in process and quality improvement projects. Prior to joining PSI, Hitesh worked with Eli Lilly and Company as Global health program leader. There, he successfully managed grants and led various public health programs across different health domains. These included an operational research program on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in both rural and urban India through a consortium of different partners, some TB programs across India with a special focus on access and adherence to treatment and medicines, and an education and nutrition program for underprivileged out-of-school children.

He has been a speaker at various national and regional meetings, conducted in partnership with state and national government. His earlier roles in Eli Lilly included sales, brand management, alliance management, six sigma black belt, international business and public health portfolio.
