Program Officer

Kathryn Walsh is a master of public policy graduate from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she concentrated her studies in maternal and child health. She is a member of the Delta Omega Public Health Honorary Society. While in graduate school, Kate worked as a research assistant at The Challenge Initiative (TCI), providing donor, communication and program support. Kate also worked for the Baltimore City Health Department’s B’more for Healthy Babies initiative where she conducted research on early school readiness and the social determinants of maternal health in Baltimore City neighborhoods.

Prior to graduate school, Kate worked as a healthcare communications professional in New York City. As a Senior Account Executive at the public relations firm Weber Shandwick, Kate managed multiple communications workstreams for global pharmaceutical companies, including Bayer Women’s Health and Eli Lilly and Company.

Kate is passionate about the intersection between policy and reproductive health. She is dedicated to utilizing her program, data and communication knowledge to improve health in disadvantaged communities.
