Chief of Party - Francophone West Africa
Hawa Talla comes to TCI’s Francophone West Africa team from IntraHealth, where she most recently served as the Integrated Services Delivery and Healthy Behaviors DCOP, a USAID-funded project in Senegal. She brings over 23 years of experience in integrated MNCH/FP/malaria program leadership and management, and has a track record of effectively leading multidisciplinary technical teams and partnering with local organizations to implement quality programs.
She is an expert in team-building, communications, capacity building and training. During her career, she has assisted government counterparts with the development and launch of national strategic plans for FP, child survival, mHealth and gender. She brings extensive experience in engaging the voices of communities including youth in shaping interventions to reduce barriers to health information, products and services, and addressing sensitive topics such as GBV, child marriage and FGC.
Hawa has been a pioneer in advocating for the reproductive and maternal health needs of Senegalese women and is a lifelong advocate of better access to reproductive health information and services for young people.
