Dorie Lyn Balanoba

Dr. Dorie Lyn Balanoba brings more than 30 years’ experience in the public health and development sector to TCI in The Philippines. Prior to joining the private sector, Dr. Dorie was part of the Philippines’ Doctors to the Barrios Program and later appointed as Division Chief of the Department of Health. She helped establish the government’s HRH Network, which addresses various challenges in the country’s human resources for health.

A known expert in capacity building, policy development and management, coaching and mentoring local health leaders, she led the development of the Zuellig Family Foundation’s program on strengthening the Indigenous People’s barangay health leadership and governance and implementation of leadership and governance programs for provincial, city and municipal governments to improve MNCHN/FP, adolescent health outcomes in partnership with DOH and development partners like UNFPA and USAID.

Dr. Dorie facilitated the development of the first Costed Implementation Plan (CIP) for family planning at the national level with support from the United Nations Population Fund. She was the Philippine representative at the ASEAN Technical working group on Mutual Recognition Arrangements on Medical Practitioners and taught Public Health at the Allianze University College of Medical Sciences in Penang, Malaysia for two years.
