Kojo Lokko brings an ideal combination of skills and experience with over twenty years of work in family planning, expertise in scaling up programs especially in reproductive health, building private/public sector partnerships, and producing results using social marketing approaches. He has a demonstrated track record in managing large, multi-faceted global programs involving demand generation, supply chain management, service delivery, advocacy with governments and donor engagement.

During his tenure as Deputy Project Director for the HC3 project, USAID’s flagship health and behavior program under the Center for Communication Programs (CCP), he covered several health areas, including family planning and reproductive health through the implementation of a state-of-the-art social and behavior change programs. Kojo also previously served as a senior technical advisor for the global Malaria Networks Project and Chief of Party/Project Director for the Afford Health Marketing Initiative in Uganda, a fourth generation social marketing project. Under the AFFORD project, one of his accomplishments was the creation of the Uganda Health Marketing Group (UHMG), an indigenous health marketing organization that celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, operating an annual budget of over $10 million.

Kojo played key roles in leading several social marketing and public-private-partnership initiatives in his native Ghana. Most notably he was Deputy Managing Director at GSMF International, a not-for-profit organization serving the West Africa region specializing in general project management, social marketing, product marketing and distribution.
