Introduction
Even when quality family planning services are available, reaching the people who need them most requires proactive outreach – meeting communities where they are, addressing social norms that shape decision-making, and ensuring that the right information reaches first-time parents, newly married couples, and other priority groups before unmet need becomes an unintended pregnancy.
This course documents proven demand generation strategies that TCI will use to coach local governments to implement in Bangladesh. Lessons examine how community health staff can be mobilized for counselling and outreach, how to reach newly married couples and first-time parents with information and referrals, and how engaging men can help normalize family planning and support women's informed method choice.
